This whimsical, secure outdoor classroom is adjacent to the Finney County library. It is designed to promote creative thinking and imagination in children of all ages. There are 10 distinct sections, each of which encourages children to partake in a specific type of activity.

2. Ward’s Petting Zoo

Who doesn’t love getting up close and personal with some adorable animals? Admission is only $3 per person and includes an interactive tour from an expert guide. Food is also provided to feed the animals.

You are greeted by the friendly faces of miniature donkeys, rabbits, birds, sheep, pigs, goats, mules, turtles, and more. There is an outdoor picnic area complete with a playground as well as a cafe.

3. Escape the Clock

Have you ever tried an escape room? While they are a fairly new concept, escape rooms have rapidly risen in popularity among participants of all ages. Teams of players find clues and solve puzzles within a limited time (generally 45 – 60 minutes) to progress to the next level.

4. Lee Richardson Zoo

The zoo is a must-visit on the list of Kansas attractions. Sprawling over 50 stunning acres, there is a vast array of native and exotic animals, including rare and endangered species.

5. Parrot Cove Waterpark

This water wonderland boasts over 36,000 square feet of family fun, complete with water slides, a tropical lagoon, and even a rock-climbing wall. There is also a lazy river if you are more into relaxing than action.
