Saturday October 15th from 2pm to 4pm at the Baffa Lecture Hall located inside the Finnup Center for Conservation Education.

Debra Bolton, Ph.D. (Ohkay Owingeh) is Director of Intercultural Learning and Academic Success at Kansas State University. Her research focuses on health, well-being, environmental/social connectedness, and belonging in underrepresented,, excluded, and displaced populations in Kansas and around the U.S. Born in the beautiful mountains of western Colorado, Bolton’s love of the land flows from the traditions of  her family and her Indigenous/Native ancestors. “I come from a long line of people who honor the natural world as a relative. All that we learn and do comes from the land.”

Steve Lerner, Ph.D. is a psychologist, filmmaker and musician in Lawrence, Kansas, and Founder of Step By Step Kansas, funded by Humanities Kansas, and sponsored by the Climate + Energy Project. Step By Step will bring people together across Kansas to have open conversations about our changing climate, including ways we can become more engaged in moving towards solutions to this enormous challenge.
