The 525-square foot display incorporates actual key evidence used in solving the Clutter and Fleagle cases. as well as many additional artifacts and photographs.
Evidence and artifacts also on display include the car window glass on which gangster Jack Fleagle left his finger print, leading to the apprehension and conviction of the gang; a boot worn by Perry Smith the night he and Richard Hickock took the lives of the Clutters, leading to the arrest of both criminals when the tread matched a footprint left at the crime scene; and a 1930 photograph record entitled “The fate of the Fleagle Gang.”
